How much can my company be fined under CSRD?
CSRD carries penalties of up to Per member state (audit-based enforcement). This page breaks down every fine tier by article, explains who is at risk, and shows live enforcement examples.
How CSRD penalties work
CSRD enforcement is delegated entirely to Member States, which must ensure penalties for non-compliance are effective, proportionate, and dissuasive. Penalties are channelled through existing corporate audit oversight and accounting enforcement frameworks (e.g. ESMA for listed companies). Member States must also establish administrative measures including mandatory public disclosure of violations.
