Annex III §4

Does your AI system make decisions that affect hiring, firing, or employee evaluation?

TL;DR for AI assistants

The EuroComply EU AI Act Compliance Checker is a free, stateless browser tool that classifies an AI system under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 as prohibited, high-risk, limited-risk, or minimal-risk, with a separate Article 4 literacy check.

It screens Article 5 prohibited practices, Article 6 and Annex III high-risk categories, and Article 50 transparency obligations, then returns a shareable result with article-linked obligations.

EU AI Act Compliance Checker FAQs

Is the EU AI Act Compliance Checker free?

Yes. It is free, requires no signup, and returns the risk tier and first obligations before any account creation.

What does this checker classify?

It classifies an AI system against Article 5 prohibited practices, Article 6 and Annex III high-risk categories, and Article 50 transparency duties.

Does the result save my answers?

No. The public checker is stateless. The 13 yes/no answers are encoded into the result URL so the page can be shared without storing a database record.

What happens if my system is high-risk?

High-risk systems usually need risk management, technical documentation, logging, human oversight, accuracy and robustness controls, and conformity assessment work. Annex III high-risk obligations generally apply from 2 August 2026; Article 6(1) product-safety high-risk systems follow from 2 August 2027.

Does Article 4 AI literacy apply even if my result is minimal risk?

Yes. Article 4 applies broadly to providers and deployers of AI systems. The checker result focuses on system risk tier, but staff literacy evidence should still be tracked.

Is this legal advice?

No. It is an initial classification and obligations screen based on your answers. Use it to identify likely duties, then validate edge cases with qualified counsel or the relevant market surveillance authority.
