Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 enters into force, replacing Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. New provisions cover autonomous and collaborative robots, AI-integrated machinery, and cybersecurity requirements. Application follows a transition period.

All machinery placed on the market after 20 January 2027 must comply with the new Regulation. Manufacturers must have completed conformity assessments, CE marking under the new framework, and updated technical documentation.
