European Accessibility Act — most obligations apply
Products and services placed on the market from 28 June 2025 must comply with accessibility requirements. Covered products include computers, smartphones, TVs, e-readers, and ATMs.
Applies to: manufacturers, importers, distributors, and service providers in scope (subject to microenterprise exemption for services)
Penalty: Member State penalties must be effective, proportionate, and dissuasive; maximum penalties vary by state
EAA — self-service terminal transition period ends
Self-service terminals (payment terminals, ATMs, ticketing machines, check-in kiosks) that were lawfully placed on the market before 28 June 2025 may continue to be used until 28 June 2030.
Applies to: operators of self-service terminals; service providers using kiosks and terminals
